              About

              _
Red Herring is Toronto's Professional Distraction.

When this redhead's not planning a bank heist she's shaking her tail feathers across Toronto's stages with her neo burlesque routines. She's well read and good in bed, and can school you on anything from Sherlock Holmes to jumping bones. She wiggled onto the scene in 2009 and opened the Toronto Burlesque Festival's 2010 Rising Star Showcase as the first large show of her career. When she's not producing sold out shows (as the creator Toronto's original Babes in Space: Star Trek vs Star Wars burlesque show, or more) or managing her new monthly Reveal Me at the Rivoli, she's appearing on national television (Dragon's Den, Love Inc., ET Canada), or promoting as an established bodypaint model, or maybe even writing on her blog or about the paranormal for GhostbustersNews.com.

Red Herring brings her background in promotion and sales to the fore when in her burlesque heels. She could sell water to a fish, and is a promotional weapon when it comes to events. With a background in all sorts of dance (from gogo and pole to classic waltz), and a history of every kind of convention and trade show imaginable (she's a regular feature at Fan Expo since 2002), she's at home in a crowd.

Red keeps a corral of amazing sponsors for events that she's a part of, and is a go-to hub for promoters who need talent to get the job done!

Red can be seen on the screen in two episodes of Slice Network's show Love Incorporated, where she strutted down the runway as a lingerie model, and swept the competition at a Vegas-themed poker event in episodes 2 and 12 of the season. Don't play cards with this one, unless you want to lose.

She has also appeared on promo spots for ET Canada, and in music videos for Diamond Lane Band and Rehab for Quitters, where she shows off her skills on the pole. Keep your eyes peeled for the episode of Dragon's Den 2010, where she was bodypainted for a pitch! Episode 13.

Red Herring has appeared in print in publications like Xtra, Sexlife Canada, and Toro Men's Magazine, singled out with "When all is said and done, Miss Brazilian Wax and a spunky redhead receive perfect scores" (though both could be referring to me, I'll take the redhead moniker). Gothic Beauty Magazine spotlighted Toronto-local designer Sharon Toxic of Toxic Vision Clothing (worn by Kat von D and Masuimi Max, among many other sassy ladies) and featured Red Herring as a model of Sharon's amazing designs.

A background in modeling and bodypainting has seen her traveling to such conventions as Bodyssey and FABAIC to be painted by world-class painters like Nick Herrerra aka Nix from Face Off Season 2, Alex Hansen, Mark Reid, and Nick Wolfe of Wolfe FX.
